Musical Theatre

The first year of both the Dance Performance & Teacher Training programme and the Musical Theatre programme offer the same training providing a thorough grounding in the various core subjects. This gives a well-rounded understanding to the theoretical and performance aspects of dance, musical theatre and teaching. Continual assessments are held throughout the first year of the course to monitor progress.

The Musical Theatre programme expands on the core knowledge attained in the first year of study with modules encompassing make-up, improvisation, acting, speech, voice production and singing.

Students on the Musical Theatre programme MUST have a committed and dedicated approach to training showing focus, hard work and discipline. Acceptance onto the programme is by audition at the start of the second year, continuous internal assessment and a second audition at the beginning of the third year.

In order to graduate students must achieve a high level of recognition in internationally recognised examinations with LAMDA and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).
