Flashdance at MDDC!

Guest teacher, Simon Harvey, dropped in to MDDC during a break from Flashdance rehearsals to workshop elements of the show with MDDC students.
Simon, who trained at Bird College, workshopped elements of the Flashdance show with MDDC students. Picking up information about choreography quickly is a must for a professional dancer. Woe betide anyone who needs telling twice or even three times!
Simon’s workshops focused on this important element of dance and performance in classes he gave last Thursday. “I’m very impressed by how quickly everyone picked up the information,“ he commented, “it’s so important as a dancer to be able to understand speed of pick up…and the students at MDDC seem well on there way to achieving this!“
Simon has guest taught at MDDC before. Last term he helped students to work on audition techniques. We look forward to seeing Simon back at MDDC in the future.
